On our way to the park we made a stop in FAO Schwarz and Connor had a good time racing some little cars around the track. I wanted to show him the "Big" Piano. He hasn't seen Big!
This is Connor at the 24 hour Apple store...it's all glass. I think Connor thought it was pretty cool.
Connor on top of one of the rock's in Central Park. You see those rain clouds in the sky? We decided to skip the bikes and just walk through the park so we could get out of the rain when we needed to.
I learned that Connor is a big fan of the Beatles so we stopped by John Lennon's memorial in the park.
At the Museum of Natural History...Connor's face kind of matches the looks on these masks.
Connor with his ancestors.
Connor was impressed by this meteorite...34 tons worth, the largest on display.
He really liked this big cross section of an enormous 2000 year old tree.
The squid and the whale battle it out behind Connor.
Ok, time to rest legs in Washington Square Park. Connor bought a huge jaw breaker to snack on. We walked around NYU a bit and checked out the college scene.
I talked him into trying Kati roll. It's a little hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant where they take bread and roll up Indian spiced kebab meat and onions and spices inside. It's really amazing, but spicy. Connor wolfed it down and said he loved it, I was impressed! It was a little too spicy for him, but he handled it well...just wiped the sweat off his brow and kept chowing down. He wanted me to point out that his jawbreaker had caused tiny scrapes on his tongue which intensified the burning of the spices.
Cooking our meat.
Connor getting ready for his first bite.
They have pictures on the menu so you know what you are ordering.
View from 30 Rock. Connor and I both liked this spot much better than the Empire State Building.
Here's a little clip of Connor at the park...he's really digging the street musicians.
